Here are some of the most comment questions I am asked.

How much notice do you need for a cake booking?

Normally, I require a minimum of two weeks notice for a cake order. On rare occasions I may be able to squeeze in something with less notice. Please be aware that I do tend to book out quickly, often around 2-4 weeks in advance, so it's best to book in as soon as you can. 

Can you recreate the cake in a photo I send to you?

You can definitely email me photos which I will use for inspiration, but I don't copy other designers. In fact, by letting me have some creative freedom you will allow me to create the best cake I possibly can for you. Emailing me pictures is a really helpful way to give me an idea of the style of cakes you like. 

How much will my cake cost?

Choosing an existing cake design from my CAKE CATALOGUE means you will see the fixed price. If you would like a unique design, perhaps including fondant characters etc, then I will email you through a quotation so you know exactly how much your cake will cost.

How big a cake should I order?

I can help with helping determine the best size cake for your needs, just let me know how many serves you would like. However, ultimately it does depend on how big you make the slices when you cut your cake. My cakes are available in the following sizes:

Small - 5" Diameter Cylindrical Cake (3 thick cake layers)

Medium - 6" Diameter Cylindrical Cake (3 thick cake layers)

Large - 7" Diameter Cylindrical Cake (3 thick cake layers)

Super, Two Tier - 5" + 7" Diameter Cylindrical Cakes Stacked (6 layers)

Half Slab - 30cm x 40cm Flat Rectangle Cake (1 layer)

Full Slab - 30cm x 20cm Flat Rectangle Cake (1 layer)

Will you hold my date?

To keep things fair for everyone, I operate on a system where bookings are only confirmed once your booking deposit is paid. So even if we have started discussing your cake, or I have emailed you a quote, if another party pays beforehand then unfortunately I can book out. 

Do you deliver?

Unfortunately at this time I am unable to offer any delivery. All my quoted prices either via email or stated on this website are based on you collecting your cake from my location in Burnside, Sunshine Coast QLD. 

How do I pay?

Can I pay in cash when I pickup the cake?

Paying for your cake is nice and simple. Either book online and pay instantly, or I will email you an invoice. When placing your booking, I require a 50% deposit to secure your booking in my calendar, then the remainder is due one week prior to your cake collection date.

Unfortunately I do not accept cash payments. 

Do you cater for allergies or other dietary requirements?

I do not cater for any dietary requirements. I do offer some gluten free options, however please be aware that I am NOT certified for allergens or gluten free and as such I can not 100% guarantee gluten free. 

How do I transport my cake?

Once you have booked your cake with me, I will email you my CAKE CARE & TRANSPORT GUIDE, which details the best way I recommend to both store and transport your cake. 

Does my cake need to be refrigerated?

Yes! Your cake does need to be refrigerated as soon as possible after collection, and it needs to stay refrigerated right up until just a little before you plan to serve. My cakes are made using buttercream icing which will melt in heat.
